Why Sparrow? I always wanted to stay in Michigan and support the region that I grew up in. Lansing is well situated to expose residents to patients with a wide variety of lived experiences, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds and thus prepares us well for many possible future career paths.  Most importantly, when I rotated with Sparrow family medicine, I saw residents and faculty determined to provide exceptional patient centered care in a way that resonated with and inspired me. The clear expectation of inter-team support and respect left me confident that my residency will support me in times of trial, which ultimately was the deciding factor.
