Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy cooking and trying new food with my wife. We endorse most of the Coloradan stereotypes: skiing, biking, and craft beverages. I have been known to take in the fine arts such as standup comedy. I am big into sports, especially football and basketball. I have a strong appreciation for the works of Mr. Steve Carell, most notably of course, The Office. 

Why Sparrow? - I was born and raised in Colorado, and I did my undergrad, graduate, and medical schooling there. I wanted to experience a new place and a new population of people after medical school. I appreciate the diversity in Lansing and the opportunity to learn about a wide range of people's experiences. I wanted a program that supported their residents and also challenged them consistently. During my audition month I was impressed by how the residents were encouraged and expected to run the FM inpatient service and by the interactions with the faculty who clearly have a drive to teach.
